December 1, 2025 – The Sales Manager of Xi’an Hongxin Arc Furnace Co., Ltd. accompanied a delegation from a major Kazakhstan-based steelmaking enterprise on a comprehensive factory tour at the company‘s manufacturing headquarters in Xi‘an. The Kazakhstan delegation, comprising senior technical and procurement representatives, toured Xi‘an Hongxin‘s modern production facilities, including the submerged arc furnace (SAF) and electric arc furnace (EAF) assembly lines, quality inspection centers, and the company’s R&D demonstration areas. During the visit, the sales manager presented the company‘s full range of metallurgical equipment solutions, including SAFs for ferroalloy production, EAFs for steelmaking, ladle refining furnaces (LF), and continuous casting equipment.
“Kazakhstan’s metallurgical industry is undergoing a significant transformation, with steel production reaching 4.27 million tons in 2025, a 3.9% increase year-on-year. In 2025, several landmark projects were initiated, including the Shougang Group‘s 3-million-ton short-process integrated steel plant in Kazakhstan‘s Jambyl region, which utilizes advanced direct reduced iron (DRI) and electric arc furnace (EAF) technology. Additionally, the Asia United Steel project, a 1.2-million-ton-per-year steel plant using modern energy-efficient EAFs, began construction in December 2025. These developments underscore Kazakhstan‘s commitment to adopting world-class metallurgical technologies and present significant opportunities for equipment suppliers like Xi‘an Hongxin.
